They began to have a Star Wars look. Between this ship and an imperial destroyer with inclined plans.

Heh, ye olde rebel transport! Isn't there a ship suspiciously similar in EVE?
Quite crucial to be able to tell minefields and rally points apart...

I like the carapace aspect. An other thing i like in your ships and in Star Wars ones, is there is frequently a horizontal line fro prew to stern, that is not covered by shielding like the rest of the ship, or at least with no flat aspect.

Even if it's just an opening to introduce a floppy disk...

Here a small update on the ship:

Still haven't replaced the turrets. I've decided to the turrets to be sphere shaped, normally placed in the hull, but once activated they are moved more towards the surface. The only trouble I'm having at the moment is actually drawing them. I've got an almost clear idea of how they'll look like, it's just that I'm having a hard time playing with spheres in Sketchup...

I hope that's positive 'interesting'!  ;D

The eagle head still needs a lot of work, the parts connecting the head to the ship's body (flat parts on the sides) need a lot more details so it will look similar to the rest of the ship. I'm also pondering of maybe adding details to the head itself.

Or perhaps I should smoothen out some other parts, to make the head look more ornate. Just got to experiment a bit. :)

I'd experiment with making the whole prow section (or just the head) longer. Not sure what to do with the "shoulders" but I'm sure something can be done... Not quite the right proportions for wings up there, nothing that really seems to fit... Either way, keep that head somewhere, as a design can be made to fit it and it is kinda awesome!

Maybe stick the head out a bit more forward, then the shoulders will be a bit longer too. I won't be making wings though, it's a bit overkill I think, and a bit too obviously Imperial.

Tweaked it slightly. In the meanwhile I found out that the head was a tiny bit too big to fit correctly to the rest of the ship (connection of the ship was 1.5 meters whilst the head was 1.5000004723 meters) Fixed it, and made it a bit longer:

Updated the ship a bit, moved a few of the components, changed the prow a bit, but it's still very much WIP.

Much better with the elongated "shoulder" to connect it to the prow.
