To give you an idea of how big the model is compared to the FW version:

Nippon and Cathay was not the agenda of WMRC (Warmaster Rules Committee) as its goal was to deliver WMR Armies1.0. Though some of its members (Paul Winter and Alex Janaway) were recently involved in some playtesting and ideas in this field. But this is happening outside WMRC framework. So ask them. If reasonable updated, the lists may be incorporated in the Armies document in some possible future updates.

you should read it as it is written. When the combat ends up as a draw, you roll off to see who falls back first. If it is marauders, you should fall back with them so the slayers won't be able to hit them in flank or rear next turn.
Just note that in orginal version of Warmaster you were allowed to fall back in any direction. So in case you won combat in opponet's turn, you had always the chance to fall back so you charged the defeated unit in flank (or rear - depended on how much you rolled) on initiative in your next turn.

Hi all,

small question concerning fall back direction. In the rulebook it states:
When a unit falls back, the player selects any one stand from the unit and moves it back. In this case, 'back' is defined as behind the line drawn across the front of the stand as for visibility.

I can get this point when attacked in the front, but what if the unit is attacked in the flank or even the rear? I had a unit of troll slayers that was attached in the flank by a single stand of chaos marauder horsemen. Got lucky, and we had a draw. But then I had to fall back behind my from line, so in extremis could make sure I outflanked the marauders in the next turn. Sounded silly.

Should it read: fall back from the edge that was in contact with the enemy?

Thanks in advance for your opinion,

PS: small gathering with some friends after about 2 years of inactivity - was so much fun that I forgot to take pictures. Great day though...

one test later and...hmm... did not go well... brushing on dullcoat is certainly not for minis already painted in acrylic! guess I'll stick to Vallejo's acrylic matt which was surprisingly good as it happens. however. I will be using the dullcoat on leaves prior to using punches/cutting out leaves as this will mean that no further treatment will be required after gluing them on.  this stuff is pretty strong and sound so it should protect the texture and colour of the leaves rather nicely...
thanks again for the help on this dave!

also while I'm here, I've discovered a few tricks for making up shaped leaves on the cheap and also figured out an excellent way of properly separating the birch seeds from the separators with ease and haste. (something I've known to flummox many a modeller hoping to avoid spending out on something so easily available for free yet having trouble getting the bits they need separated from the bits they don't!)
If there's any interest I'll post a tutorial or something?
let me know if you are interested folks...

I'm going to put my Nippon army based on army list compendium 2009 in hand, I ask; are you going to fix it? if the intention is this aspect. Thank you for any response

I managed to make a little upgrade-kit for the fins of my scratchbuilt Chaos cruisers.
I am very pleased with it, the whole ship is now on the same level details-wise I feel.

Also I have been busy with priniting a fully magnetised Imperial Navy fleet, I now have 2 Dauntless, 5 cruisers, 1 battlecruiser and the Sword I showed earlier. I printed the prows in a different colour, to make the ships look better in the looong while it will take me to get round to painting them ;D

6 more Swords and a Battleship are in the works!
